Charles Hill Turner was a Pensacola building contractor and proprietor of the C. H. Turner Construction Company, after inheriting the business from his father, Richard Hill Turner.

Life[edit]

Charles Hill Turner was born at Pensacola on December 1, 1868. His father, a native of Georgia, had settled in Pensacola in 1858. Charles was educated in the public schools of Pensacola and later attended Southern Presbyterian University in Tennessee, but left before graduation and joined his father's business, which he then took over in 1892.

He was married on December 10, 1896 to Louise Hyer. They had three children, two of whom survived infancy.
