  • 1861Fort Pickens receives supplies and troop reinforcements from the USS Powhatan. Confederate Brigadier General Braxton E. Bragg imposes martial law in Pensacola, stopping all trade and communications with the Union-held fortress.
  • 1987 - Recent Grammy Award winner Bruce Hornsby performed on Pensacola Beach, to his biggest audience to date.
  • 2007 – The new Krispy Kreme store at 9th Avenue and Cervantes Street opens.
  • 2012 - Surf rock guitarist Dick Dale performs at Vinyl Music Hall.
