The following is a list of ordinances adopted by the City of Pensacola in 1953.

1-53 An ordinance to close, vacate, discontinue and abandon all that portion of Tunis Street in the City of Pensacola that lies between the east line of Sixteenth Avenue and the west line of Seventeenth Avenue, according to map of said city copyrighted by Oliver J. Semmes, Jr. in the year 1947.
2-53 An ordinance authorizing and making transfers and appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1953.
3-53 An ordinance authorizing a loan of not to exceed $45,000.00 from the utility deposit account to the sidewalk construction account; providing for the pledging of the proceeds of certain sidewalk assessment certificates to the payment thereof.
4-53 An ordinance authorizing and making transfers and appropriations for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1953.
5-53 An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 21-51 entitled: "An ordinance to provide for the grading, paving, hardsurfacing, curbing and otherwise improving certain streets in the City of Pensacola, dividing said streets into special assessment districts, and fixing the manner by which the owners of property abutting upon said streets shall contribute to the cost of such improvements, and providing for the issuance of negotiable special assessment certificates which shall constitute liens against the property described therein and benefited by such improvements, and prescribing the terms and conditions of said certificates," to provide for concrete paving of certain streets and to delete the assessment districts pertaining to Davis Street and to cancel the special assessment certificates based on said assessment districts hereby deleted.

7-53 An ordinance amending Section 35.3 of the Charter and Code of Ordinances of the City of Pensacola, Florida, 1950, and amending the zoning map of Pensacola, Florida, and all notations, references, and other information shown thereon and made a part of said ordinance by including in M-1 - commercial district (wholesale or light industry), the property being all of fractional Block 119, and Lots 1 and 2 in Block 120 of the Pettersen Addition, according to the map of the City of Pensacola, Florida copyrighted by Thomas C. Watson in 1906.
8-53 An ordinance amending Section 20.6 of the Charter and Code of Ordinances of the City of Pensacola, Florida, 1950, -- through streets delineated.
9-53 An ordinance amending Section 20.55 of the Charter and Code of Ordinances of the City of Pensacola, Florida, 1950, to permit diagonal parking on Wright Street from Palafox Street to Hayne Street.
10-53 An ordinance providing for the method of qualifying and becoming a candidate for member of the City Council of the City of Pensacola, Florida in the primary and general elections of said city, for placing names of candidates on ballots in said elections, and limiting nominations to the primary election, and emergency clause.
