- 1781 – Siege of Pensacola – A contingent of fourteen Spanish vessels, carrying 1,348 troops, arrives from New Orleans. About 40 British sailors from the capsized Mentor are sent to bolster defenses at the Queen's Redoubt.
- 1863 – Civil War: Pensacola burned by Union troops.
- 2007 – The law firm of Aystock, Wiktin & Sasser is reorganized as Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz.
