  • 1781Siege of Pensacola – A contingent of fourteen Spanish vessels, carrying 1,348 troops, arrives from New Orleans. About 40 British sailors from the capsized Mentor are sent to bolster defenses at the Queen's Redoubt.
  • 1863Civil War: Pensacola burned by Union troops.
  • 1978 - Rock musician Carlos Santana performed at the Mobile Municipal Auditorium.
  • 1997 - Rock band Bush performs at the civic center.
  • 2007 – The law firm of Aystock, Wiktin & Sasser is reorganized as Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz.
