It was owned and operated by model Sana Severin, whose husband Fritz was the singer for the house band Flame and The Heaters. It was patronized mostly by off-work nightclub employees, musicians, and customers of Machinegun Kelly's and 2001 Disco. After approximately two years in business,'''The After Burner''' closed in the fall of 1981.
