First building?[edit]

According to the April 26, 1984 Pensacola News article "'Bay Parties' the Best In Beach Adventure," the first Life Saving Station burned down in 1895 and was rebuilt around 1898-99. Think it's safe to assume that the building destroyed in the 1906 hurricane was actually the second building? — admin • talk  12:21, 10 October 2009 (CDT)
