John the Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church building located at 101 North 10th Avenue. Established in 1846 as the First Baptist Colored Church, the congregation represents the oldest continuous black church in Pensacola. The church has been located at the current site on the corner of 10th Avenue and Salamanca Street since 1872. The 1872 building was destroyed by fire in 1896 and rebuilt the following year. The 1897 building was destroyed in the 1906 hurricane.

The current church building was erected in 1907.
