John B. Jerralds is a member of the Pensacola City Council and Deputy Mayor of Pensacola. He was appointed in 2000, was elected to the District 5 seat in 2001 and as the Deputy Mayor in 2007. Mr. Jerralds is a teacher at George Stone Technical Center. Mr. Jerralds is active in Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and serves as the Education Committee Chairman for the Movement for Change. He is a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He received a bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College in Brooklyn, New York and a master’s degree from the University of West Florida. He and his wife Viola have two sons.

Councilman Jerralds was unopposed in this election and was reelected by default.

This election was held November 7, 2006. Pensacola City Council races are non-partisan.
