Speaking as both the original author of the entry and last doorman employed at Jere's Rock and Roll Showcase, I must say the edits made by another on 9-25-2015 are somewhat erroneous. They are listed as follows: 1) The statement that the club name was spelled Jerry's during the whole time he was in business is not correct. The front sign, also our work jerseys and jackets from 1983 until it's closing in '85 were spelled Jere's. 2) Terry's last name was Thomas. His band was The Carousels. If one can't remember those facts, I am sorry but I and many others do. 3) As my entry states in the opening sentence, Jere's last name was Hobbs. If you also couldn't remember that fact, you didn't comprehend the entry. 4) The claim that Hobbs' death resulted in the closing of the business was not final. As my entry previously states, his sister reopened it and ran it for another year or so. Hallgs, 5-27-16.

Update, 5-29-16, from Hallgs: I added Terry's last name, appreciate the info that he was the country music entertainment, and attempted to contact the Heaters as to the approx dates of their being the house band. When they respond, I can ad that info. As to the two posts that the page needed more corrections, perhaps they should have been detailed here. I am more than happy to read with interest any forgotten facts about Jere's, but can't guess what another remembers or may withhold. In closing, I want to add that w/'Pedia being written to be informative, first, I must say that sentences such as "Featuring Terry (somebody fill in his last name}" and "In the end, a man Jerry (last name escapes me)" detract from the page. After all, it is an encyclopedia, and a certain level of format is expected. Requesting info from viewers doesn't enhance the entry. If necessary, I'm sure I can still find Jere's nephew to support what I initially posted. We are lifelong friends, and he was there with us until closing. I hope I don't need to. I wrote the entry and many others as enjoyable contributions to my community, and want to keep it that way. Thanks.
