He committed suicide on ) was a chef and entrepreneur who helped launch the [[April 10Horizen]]restaurant and later started his own establishment, [[2008Baba Café]] at his café, shortly before he committed suicide.
A native of Taiwan, Ma attended Florida State University and graduated in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in marketing. In 2002 Ma partnered with [[Hunan]] owners [[William Yang|William]] and [[Linda Yang]] to open the Asian-fusion restaurant [[Horizen]]. In [[2007]] Ma left Horizen to start his own business, [[Baba Café]], in the former [[Breaktime Espresso]] location at [[34 South Palafox Street]]. On the morning of [[April 10]], [[2008]], after opening the restaurant, Ma locked himself in a closet in the back of the store and used a gun to commit suicide.<ref>"Owner commits suicide inside Baba Cafe."
