George W. Estess is a prominent trial attorney in Pensacola with the law firm of Kerrigan, Estess, Rankin, McLeod and Thompson, LLP.
A native of Florida, George Estess was born in Ft. Lauderdale in 1945. After graduating from Stetson University in DeLand in 1967 with a pre-law degree, he joined the United States Army. He went to Vietnam, where in 1968-69 he served as a helicopter pilot. Emerging from that conflict with the rank of Captain and having been awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, he entered the University of Florida Law School, where he graduated with honors in 1973. During his final year in law school he was Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review, and he authored several articles on recent Federal and State judicial decisions.

After serving as law clerk for Justice Robert Mann of the Second District Court of Appeals, George came to Pensacola in 1974 to commence private practice. He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers. In addition, he is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer, and is certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. With years of trial experience, George concentrates in the area of medical malpractice. His dedication and mastery of the courtroom is evident by the host of jury verdicts obtained.
