A lot of this is pieced together from fragments that ''seem'' to fit, but my sources are not all authoritative. I would like to do more "hard" research on both de Villiers and Guillemard. --[[User:Admin|Admin]] 08:11, 1 August 2007 (CDT)

Made a few changes:
*It looks like De Villiers and Guillemard weren't imprisoned in the [[calaboose]] after all; I had misread Walton's correspondence.
*Pretty sure Marcos was the ''son'', not grandson, of François Coulon. The dates and the interchangeable "Marc" and "Marcos" names got me mixed up. The "Jumonville" name (found in one of several sources that name his wife) seems to confirm this. (From [http://ns1763.ca/bio/7bio-35947-vill-fran.html this article] on François: "To have lived another decade and thereby come under American rule would have been bitter indeed for a nobleman who had named his youngest son Jumonville, in memory of the brother slain by George Washington.")
