==Background==
 Ronald William Will Hedgecock II was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. At age nine, he joined the [[Pensacola Children's Chorus]].<ref>http://www.myspace.com/willhedgecock</ref>. Will sang with the group for ten years, touring with the group throughout the U.S., England, Canada, France, and Mexico, and performing at many prestigious venues, including the [[Wikipedia:White House|White House]]. Will also graduated from [[Pensacola High School|Pensacola High School]]'s]] rigorous [[Wikipedia:IB Diploma Programme|International Baccalaureate program]]. He also was distinguished as a semi-finalist in the [[Wikipedia:National Merit|National Merit Scholarship Program]].
==Discovery==
Around the time of his graduation, Will was discovered by [[Wikipedia:Larry Butler|Larry Butler]]. However, it was announced at the 2004 Pensacola Children's Chorus production of "''[[Showtime! 2004" ]]'' that he would be heading to Vanderbilt University to obtain a degree in electrical engineering instead of focusing on his singing career. He later spearheaded a benefit concert in Pensacola in [[2005]] to help rebuild northwest [[Rebuild Northwest Florida ]] after the destruction of [[Wikipedia:Hurricane Ivan|Hurricane Ivan]]. This concert produced over $100,000 for hurricane victims.
