==Early life==
Theo was born [[January 31]], [[1921]] to [[Mary Firestone Baars|Mary Firestone]] and [[Theo Dunwody Baars]] at [[Cordova]], the Baars family home built by his grandfather, [[Henry Baars]]. Theo graduated from [[Pensacola High School]] and attended Kenyon College in Ohio, Auburn University in Alabama, Tulane University in Louisiana, and William Jewell College in Missouri.

==Business career==
After serving in the Navy during World War II, Theo founded Baars Realty in [[1946]].

Baars was involved in numerous community organizations, including the [[Pensacola Association of Realtors]], of which he was past president, the Board of Directors of the [[Naval Aviation Museum]], [[Junior Achievement]], the [[Washington High School]] Parents Advisory Committee, Paul Harris Fellow International Rotarians, [[Pensacola Little Theatre]], [[Pensacola Symphony Orchestra]], and the [[Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce]].
