West Florida High School of Advanced Technology is a high school located in Pensacola, Florida.

West Florida High School of Advanced Technology opened in August 2001 with 325 ninth graders. Today, the current enrollment is 1,200 students, ninth through twelfth grade.

West Florida High provides many sports such as football, volleyball, baseball, cheerleading, softball, cross-country, track and field, basketball, soccer, swimming, and golf.

The high school has many technical fields to which students may join. Each student enrolled in the school must interview and set up a portfolio during the freshman year. The portfolio includes a resume and cover letters to send to the technical field teachers. The students are then notified if they have been accepted into the program. Students that do not get accepted are placed in their second or third choice.

There are many mentoring and job shadowing programs.

As of the 2005-2006 year, West Florida has announced its "T.E.C.H" program- Tutorial, Enrichment, and Capstone Help.
It dedicates 30 minutes everyday to FCAT, Capstone, and test-taking strategies help.

Due to financial situations, CISCO, Veterinary, and both Automotive classes will no longer be available after the 2007-2008 school year. In their place will be the New multimedia program.

Capstone
Each student completes a Capstone project—a display of comphrension and mastery of a given field - that focuses on a field-related topic. A student's technical courses, junior and senior year English courses, and T.E.C.H. courses are involved in its completion.

The project is separated into three parts:
* technical paper (eleventh grade)
* product or project-related community service (11th and 12th grades)
* presentation with visual aides (twelfth grade)

If a mean grade of 60% or above is earned, a student is presented with a technical certificate (or available equivalent) upon graduation.
