The Muscogee Nation of Florida is a Native American tribe headquartered in Bruce - a small, rural town in north Walton County. Anne Tucker is the chairwoman of the tribe.

Recognition Struggle[edit]

The Muscogee Nation of Florida is recognized by the state of Florida. However, the tribe has not yet attained recognition from the Bureau of Indian Affairs. This is an ongoing struggle.

Council House[edit]

The tribe is headquartered at 278 Church Rd. The tribal council house dates to the late 1800s and was previously used as a community center and school. Today, it houses the tribal offices and a small gift shop and museum. It is also the voting district for the Nation.

There is also a thrift store and food bank on the council house grounds.
