William Soule

William Soule graduated from [[Pensacola High School]] and attended Virginia Military Institute and University of Alabama. After finishing school in 1931, he spent the next five years working in five Southern states, Central America and Puerto Rico where he specialized in the erection of pre-fabricated buildings.
After returning to Pensacola in 1936, he started in the concrete construction business and during the next two years specialized in bridges over much of Florida and Alabama. He then went into business with his brother [[Charles Arthur Soule]] ([[Soule Brothers Construction]]), which later merged with [[William "Pete" Noonan]] ([[Noonan-Soule Construction]]) and he then became sole proprietor of [[Soule Construction Co.]]
Soule was a civic and construction industry leader for many years:
* As a member of the Florida Transportation Builders Association, he served on its Board of Directors, and also served as a Trustee of the State of Florida Transportation Builder’s Association Insurance Fund.
On [[July 18]], [[1936]] he married [[Mary Moseley Oliver]] of Laurel MS in San Juan PR. They were the parents of six children: Mary Gabrielle SouleDuncan; William Latten Soule Jr.; Charles Moseley Oliver Soule; Jean Perry SouleGamble, Lucinda Saxton Soule Davis and John Fayette Soule.
William Soule died [[July 30]], [[1985]] and is buried in [[Holy Cross Cemetery]] in Pensacola. His wife, Mary, died [[November 2422]], [[2004]].They are buried in the Soule family plot in Holy Cross Cemetery in Pensacola.
