May 10, 2012.</ref>, known for two things: "cotton and its daily newspaper." The young Outzen would later draw inspiration from Hodding Carter, II - the editor and publisher of Greenville's "Delta Democratic Times." Hodding was an intrepid opponent of segregation in the years following World War II.
