John Yelverton (d. June 3, 1899) was a Pensacola police officer shot and killed on Tarragona Street near the Stratton Ice Works while trying to arrest a fugitive wanted for a shooting in Georgia.

A fictionalized version of Yelverton is a main character in the Mysteries of Pensacola 100 Years Ago series of books by John Appleyard.
