Celestino Moreno Jones was an attorney, judge, and a mayor of Pensacola.

Jones came to Pensacola at a young age and attended the schools of Pensacola before studying law under his father. He was admitted to the bar in 1886. After practicing law with his father for many years, Jones served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Florida. In 1900, Jones was elected to the Florida House of Representatives. From 1901-1902 he served as mayor of Pensacola.[1]

In 1917 Jones became Judge of the Court of Record.[2]

Personal life[edit]

Jones was married to Rose McHenry on August 16, 1874. The couple had two children.[3]

He was active in various organizations, including the Florida Bar Association, the Masonic Lodge, the Knights of Pythias, and was a member of the Episcopal church.[4]
