Mike McLeod is a board certified trial lawyer and partner with Kerrigan, Estess, Rankin, McLeod and Thompson, LLP.

Mike McLeod was born in 1954 in Andalusia, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University in 1976 with a degree in political science. there, he was elected to membership in Omicron Delta Epsilon, the National Economics Honor Society. He then entered the University of Alabama School of Law, where he graduated in 1979, having won every award available for written briefs and oral argument during the Law Day Moot Court competition. After graduation from law school, Mike returned home to Pensacola. He was with the Public Defender's Office for four years and tried many serious criminal felony cases.

During the summers of his years in law school, Mike worked for the firm. He joined the firm in 1984, becoming a partner in 1985. Among his other successes, Mike served as co-counsel in a landmark accidental death case which culminated in a record Gulf Coast verdict.

In 1987, Mike was selected over all other applicants as local counsel for the Florida Association of State Troopers. In addition, Mike is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, The Million Dollar Advocates, Law Dragon 3000, and Leading Plaintiff's Lawyers in America.

In recent years, Mike has obtained many of the firm's multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.
