Rain during the inaugural Port City Farmer's Market, January 10, 2009

The Port City Farmer's Market is an open-air market that is held at the southeast corner of Palafox and Main Streets, a block that has sat vacant since a building owned by Overby Enterprises was razed after Hurricane Ivan and the proposed Floridian condominium project failed to materialize. Beginning as a Saturday morning market, first held on January 10, 2009 and continuing through the winter, it has moved to Wednesday evenings for the warmer months (May 13 to September 30) from 5PM to 9PM. It is also held concurrently with special downtown Pensacola events like Gallery Night.
