Michael J. Donovan (d. 2007) was a Boston-based businessman who owned the Seville Inn & Suites and the Cap'n Fun DownTown property.

Born in Lynn, Massachusetts, Donovan served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was married to Patricia Kane Donovan and had three children: Brian, Matthew and Casie.

In September 2007 Donovan announced plans to open a complex of 24 retail shops on Alcaniz Street, just adjacent to the Cap'n Fun's property, and on October 22 the Seville Inn closed for renovations. However, these plans were scrapped after Donovan's death on October 31.
