Marcy Friedman is the daughter of Pensacola businessman Norman Willenzik, who co-owned the Pensacola Restaurant Supply Company, or "Penko", located in the Lewis Bear and Willko Buildings on Palafox Place at Main. The company also included Norman's brother, Oscar, wife, Carla, and sister-in-law, Ethel. Marcy worked at Penko for a number of years.

Currently, Marcy is the treasurer of B'nai Israel Synagogue[1], where her and her family are members.
