Emory Fiske Skinner (1833-?) was a lumber magnate who founded the Skinner Manufacturing Company. He migrated to the area from Wisconsin in 1874 and established his timber company in (date needed).

Skinner was also active in politics. He was the Republican candidate for Congress in 1882, for State Senate in 1888, and a delegate to the first McKinley Nominating Convention.
