Maren Laycock DeWeese is the Pensacola City Council representative for District 3.
DeWeese defeated incumbent Mike DeSorbo in the November 2008 election.
A graduate of the University of West Florida, DeWeese worked as a mortgage lender from 1990-2002, before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom for her three children. DeWeese's husband Jeff is a partner at O'Sullivan Creel.
