William Alexander Blount, Jr. was a Pensacola lawyer with the law firm of Blount & Blount, which his father and uncle founded. He attended Yale University, graduating in 1903, then received his law degree from the University of Alabama (where he also coached the football team) in 1904.[1]

He died at an early age on October 12, 1918, and is buried at St. Michael's Cemetery.
