c4tsitl Thelma Manley was the community liaison for Front Porch Pensacola who came under fire in March 2007 for alleged mismanagement of funds, leading to the resignation of Front Porch council members Michelle MacNeil and Melanie Nichols. Following a six-week state investigation, she was fired in a May 2 letter by Janice Browning with the Florida Department of Community Affairs.[1] Manley had taken the position in 2000 following the ouster of chapter organizer Johnny Crawford by state officials.

In 2002 she was mentioned as a possible appointee to the Escambia County Commission District 2 seat (which went instead to Marie Young). She has also been involved with Rebuild Northwest Florida.

Manley owns a shoe store at 2020 North Palafox Street called Manley's Shoes, which she opened in 2004.
