Most sources I have encountered give Penton's middle name as ''Sylvester'' ([http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=kissincuzens&id=I5033], [http://jenniferhsrn2.homestead.com/beck.html]); however, one source gives it as ''Sylvanus'' [http://files.usgwarchives.org/fl/escambia/military/1917mudg.txt].
