Streets were vacated to allow for Holy Cross Cemetery in 1914, via an ordinance entitled:
- An ordinance to close, vacate and abandon that portion of Streets between Blocks 381, 382, 383, 384, 390, 391, 392, 399, 400, and 401 New City Tract, extending North and South and East and West, for Cemetery Purposes.
