This article says the mall opened on August 8, 1971, which was a Sunday, when many of the original 55 retail stores would have been closed (Back then, they were!). The Pensapedia timeline says August 11, a Wednesday, was the opening date. Wiki only states the year, 1971. Can anyone verify which was the accurate opening date? At this writing, we are closing-in on the 50th anniversary of C Mall. As a local entertainment historian, I am going with 8-11-71. Thanks Hallgs, 8-4-21

Will check w/ mall mgmt office as to whether the actual opening date was 8-8-71 as stated in the CM entry, or 8-11 as stated elsewhere. Either way, it's been open for 50 years, and that is quite an accomplishment. Thanks. Hallgs. 8-4-21.

Update: 8-8-71 was a Sunday, and many of the original 55 stores were closed. A local PNJ article says grand opening was on Thursday, 8-12-71. Thanks. Hallgs 8-8-21
