Susan Greenwell
Occupation Restaurateur

Susan Greenwell is a restaurateur who owns a trio of businesses in the old Sacred Heart Hospital building: Madison's Diner, O'Zone Pizza Pub and et Café.

A longtime resident of Pensacola, she was a single mother who made ends meet in the early 80s by delivering balloons and performing singing telegrams. "That career ended shortly because I cannot sing at all," she told the Pensacola Business Journal. "I have a photo of myself in full-face clown makeup standing in front of Madison's 25 years ago."[1]

She entered the food service industry as a waitress for Chan's when it opened in University Mall, later becoming a bartender and then manager. She then entered real estate, first as a sales person and then a broker, and in 1997 she left Pensacola to open an Alabama division of Adam's Homes.

Greenwell purchased Madison's and O'Zone from owner Thomas R. O'Brien in 2003. She opened the adjacent et Café in 2007.
