'''Salvador Ruby''' ([[1765]]-?) was a [[Wikipedia:Louisiana Creole people|Louisiana Creole]] from New Orleans who, after joining the militia in [[1779]], served in the military campaigns of [[Bernardo de Gálvez]], including the [[1781]] [[siege of Pensacola]], during which he led a brigade of Creoles against the British forces.

By June 23, 1816, Ruby was commanding officer of a militia unit in Pensacola comprised of free people of color.
