Biography

Ronald Townsend was elected to the Pensacola city council in May 2002.

He is president of R.P. Townsend & Associates, a management consultant firm, specializing in Human Resources issues. Ronald serves on the Board of Directors for Community Equity Investments, Inc. He is a past member of the Escambia County Zoning Board of Adjustment, Florida Commission on Human Relations, Florida Lemon Law Board, Board of Directors of the Escambia County United Way, and Board of Directors of Lakeview. His organization affiliations include: Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Krewe of African Kings, Knights of Peter Claver, American Legion Post #193.

Townsend has a Master's Degree from Antioch University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Southern University. He and his wife Lily are active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church and have four children.
