The '''Phillip Philip Dane Beall Sr. Memorial Bridge''', also known as the '''Pensacola Bay Bridge''' or colloquially as the '''Three-Mile Bridge''', spans a three-mile section of [[Pensacola Bay]] and is the main artery from Pensacola to [[Gulf Breeze]] and [[Pensacola Beach]].
The bridge opened was dedicated on [[October 31]], [[1960]],<ref>Note: the [http://www.cityofgulfbreeze.com/events.html City of Gulf Breeze Historical Events] page lists [[August 10]], [[1962]], as the opening date.</ref> replacing the 30-year-old [[Thomas A. Johnson Bridge]] (which subsequently became a fishing pier). It was named in honor of Florida Senator [[Phillip Dane Beall, Sr.]].
