Pensacola Junior College Foundation

The Pensacola Junior College Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit corporation that was established in 1965 to help raise money for Pensacola Junior College.

The PJC Foundation has helped the college expand its campus, through the addition of many new buildings, as well as additional campus locations. In 1994, another important structure on the main Pensacola campus opened its doors — the Kugelman Center for Telecommunications — providing a new home for WSRE-TV as well as the Foundation.

The Foundation launched its first comprehensive fund drive in December 1998, with a goal of raising $4.5 million. Starting with a gift of $1 million from the Switzer and Reilly families to establish the Anna Lamar Switzer Center for Visual Arts, the campaign generated $5.3 million for the college.

The Foundation publishes a quarterly magazine, the Compendium.
