Pensacola Para Con is a convention for fans of Science Fiction, Horror, Fantasy, Gaming, Anime, Costuming, Fan Films, and Indie Films held annually in Pensacola, Florida. The event offers celebrity meet and greets, discussion panels, workshops, film screenings, demonstrations,costume contests, and competitions. The event also offers investigations at localhistoric haunted locations such the Pensacola Victorian Inn ,Pensacola Light House ,Pensacola Gray House , and Pensacola Little Theater. A portion of the proceed of the event are donated to Making Strides with Breast Cancer.

History

Penascola Para Con was started in the Fall of 2010 by Ericka Boussarhane. She felt the Florida Panhandle and Emerald Coast community did not have anything that mixed all con genres Science Fiction, Horror, Fantasy, Gaming, Anime, Costuming, Indie Films, Artist, Celebrities, Comics, Renaissance, Cosplay, Steampunk, Theater, Performing, Literature, Publishing, Arts, Mystery, Art, Collecting, Model Construction, Film Making, Paranormal. The con encourages attendee feedback and involvement. Over the years the event have grown tremedously. It has recieved local community collaboration from the Futurevisions Sci-Fi Books & Collectables, Pensacola Costumers Guild, Thomas W. Roush [Penscola Film Commissioner,]] Pensacola Emerald Coast Film Group, Pensacola Roleplayers Association, The Pensacola Lighthouse and Museum, Boogie Inc, Mobi Con, Coast Con ,AND FAN:dom Con. Celebrity Guests have included Scott Tepperman from Syfy's Ghost Hunters International, Brian Joseph Harnois Ghost Hunters, Stephen King car Christine, Christopher Booth of SPOOKED TV, Dave Schrader, Brian Cano SyFy's Haunted Collector, Marc Guerrero, illustrator, Blake Wilkie, illustrator Chasen Grieshop comic illustrator, Dave Lapham author GHOSTS OF ST.
