Pensacola Blue is the title of a song written by local balladeer Geoffrey Hall, who performs several original tunes that romance NW Florida. It was first performed in public by Hall at the Carousel Lounge in August 1990. A recording was played over the airwaves daily for two weeks in August 1995, on WTKX-FM. The subject of the song is the lament of lost love, yet vaguely references the Blue Angels, the laid-back gulf coast lifestyle, and the romance of tourism. As of 2010, Pensacola Blue was till being performed by Hall at his solo gigs.
