McGuigan's (formally known as McGuigan's Speakeasy) was Pensacola's first alternative music venue. Located in an old building on North Palafox, the bar hosted local new wave/punk bands such as The Stiffs, Congo Rebellion and The Beach Monkeys, as well as future indie rock superstars R.E.M.
