  • 1944 – The Pensacola Historical Society's original museum in the Dorothy Walton House closes.
  • 1982 - Pop / rock band REM performed at McGuigan's Speakeasy. Opening act was The Beach Monkeys.
  • 1977 - Monkees band members Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones perform, with Micky's sister Coco, at Big Daddy's Lounge near Cordova Mall.
  • 1996 - Pop singer Rod Stewart performed at the civic center.
