- 1944 – The Pensacola Historical Society's original museum in the Dorothy Walton House closes.
- 1982 - Pop / rock band REM performed at McGuigan's Speakeasy. Opening act was The Beach Monkeys.
- 1977 - Monkees band members Micky Dolenz and Davy Jones perform, with Micky's sister Coco, at Big Daddy's Lounge near Cordova Mall.
