  • 1781Siege of Pensacola: Four Spanish ships, including Bernardo de Gálvez's private brig Gálveztown, force entry into Pensacola Bay under fire from the British fort Red Cliffs.
  • 1974 - Pop / rock musicians Chicago performed at the Mobile Municipal Auditorium.
  • 1983 - Rock band KISS performs at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.
  • 1990 - Pop singer Richard Marx performed at the civic center.
