Lisa Linda Black was a legal assistant, home healthcare provider, event promoter, bartender, one of Pensacola's first female disc jockeys, also co-creator and co-administrator of the original Pensacola Musicians Memorial concerts and online pages.

She was born on December 28, 1962 in Yokohama, Japan, and grew up in northwest Pensacola, where she attended Pine Forest High School.

Lisa had been employed at Franco's Lounge, the Rex Theatre, and the office of Tommy McPherson, Esq, Attorney at Law.

In 2010, she co-founded the Pensacola Musicians Memorial, as a non-profit organization, to assist surviving family members of musicians who had passed.

Under her administration, the annual events were held intown at Seville Quarter, Vinyl Music Hall, and Chan's Saloon. Additional events were held at Paradise Bar and Grill, Flounder's Chowder House, and The Dock, all located on Pensacola Beach.

For many years, Lisa was well-known in Pensacola's community of entertainment and event service providers. Many club and restaurant owners, musicians and music store owners, also event service and stage employees considered her a longtime, good and valued friend.

Much of her personal time was spent in raising her two sons, also serving as an advocate for homeless citizens and lost or abandoned pets.
