'''John R. Fogg''' is the current [[mayors of Pensacola|Mayor of Pensacola]]. He began his political career in 1989 when he was elected to the [[Pensacola City Council|City Council]]. Reelected in 1991 and 1993, he was appointed Mayor by the City Council in 1994 and reappointed in 1995, 1997 and 1999. In 2001, voters city wide elected Fogg the City of Pensacola’s first elected Mayor to serve since 1913.
