Joseph B. Roberts is a local aspiring politician. He challenged U.S. Representative Jeff Miller as a Democrat in 2006. He initially pre-filed to oppose him again in 2008, but left the Democratic Party after a dispute with party officials. Roberts continued his campaign as an NPA (no party affiliation), but failed to qualify, and his name was not on the ballot. He later made the decision to enter the Florida House District 2 race as a Republican, challenging Dave Murzin in the primary.
