The son of [[Chester Reeves|Chester]] and [[Goldie Reeves]], Jim received his Bachelor's graduated from [[Pensacola High School]] in 1956, then earned a bachelor of Science for science from Florida State University in 1959 and his a LL.B. from Stetson University College of Law in 1962.
