'''Jesse Carter Allen''' ([[1811]]-[[1892]]) was [[sheriff of Escambia County]] from [[1837]]-[[1840]] and interim [[sheriff of Santa Rosa County]] from [[1842]]-[[1845]].
Allen served until [[1840]]. On the 1840 census, he was listed as an assistant census enumerator for eastern Escambia County (now [[Santa Rosa County]]).
He and his family established the [[AlltentownAllentown]] settlement north of [[Milton]] in [[1842]]. When [[Santa Rosa County]] was established in the same year, he became the interim sheriff and would serve until [[1845]].
