The '''J. Earle Bowden Building''' is located in [[Downtown downtown Pensacola]], in near the [[Historic Pensacola Village]] complex. It is operated by [[West Florida Historic Preservation, Inc.]] (WFHPI). The lower floor houses classrooms used by the [[University of West Florida]] and some collections of Historic Pensacola's collectionshistoric documents. The upper floor houses Historic PensacolaWFHPI's administration administrative offices.
The building is named for [[J. Earle Bowden ]], a champion of local history and preservation who was a champion charter trustee of the [[Historic Pensacola History Preservation Board]] in [[1967]], became chairman in [[1982]], and Historical Preservationwas made president when it was reorganized as WFHPI in [[1991]].
