A seventh generation Pensacolian born to [[Grover Robinson III|Grover III]] and [[Sandra Robinson]], Grover IV received a bachelor's degree in economics from Birmingham Southern College and worked as a commercial lender for [[AmSouth Bank]], returning to Pensacola in [[1995]]. He joined [[Grover Robinson & Associates]] in [[1997]] and became broker and president after his father's death in [[2000]].
